it don't get no more personal (the reprise)
Jul 19, 2008 at 04:05PM
In an email I sent to a select few of my reader yesterday, I shared some really personal thoughts (then again, what on here isn’t) about a situation happening even as I type this message. I had no clue that what I learned yesterday would be tried by one of the fiercest fires in my ENTIRE human experience.

Jul 11, 2008 at 10:02AM I have been in DC all this week working tirelessly with my coauthor on my first book. I had no idea how tiring this could be. Working on the book itself is nowhere near as tiring as having to recall the past and put it in perspective.
what about last night
Jun 25, 2008 at 09:29AM Last night was the most awesome shows I have ever done on blogtalkradio. Not only was it informative, but it was fun and insightful and it touched peoples lives.
Sheryl Lee Ralph, Phil Wilson and Takirra Winfield were my guests and Marvelyn Brown and Morris Singletary, my off again on again co-hosts, were a tremendous help. With more than 300 people listening in, the show was very successful. We talked about everything from Sheryl’s trip to Africa, to her visit to the LA County Jail and her son’s internship at the Black AIDS Institute. Sheryl and Phil turned it out!

forget it! no more god-messages from me!
Jun 17, 2008 at 05:59PM The best place I can go when I want to be still and hear from God is the shower. Yes, the shower! I am not a water sign, but it seems like that is where I hear God the clearest and the loudest.
So last night while I was in the shower, I had a thought about gratitude that led me back to a comment Dr. Joe L. Dudley, Founder, President and CEO of Dudley Products Inc., made to you me this past weekend, “Gratitude is the beginning of plenty. Ingratitude is the beginning of poverty.” This led to my own thoughts and some interesting conclusions about the nature of being grateful for what you have when you have it. Like to hear it… Here it go! Now, this is truly some God inspired thought.
i loved you more

As I sit here, I am filled with joy, excitement, elation and love. I don’t expect anyone not present to get what happened this morning. Short of having a tape recorder or a camera or a birds-eye view of my shower, I don’t know how accurate my description will be.
