the question is...

Have you ever said anything in the heat of an emotion or feel that you wish you could take back? What did you say and why did you say it? Have you felt the impact/consequences of those words?

this is never ok!

What is going on in her life… for real! How did we ever get so far gone that we thought it was ok to treat elderly people like this? This is NEVER ok!

She’s someone’s grandmother. I don’t say much when I see stuff on the train but I assure you that would not have happened like that had I been there.

This really hurts my heart!

That young lady (I use the word loosely in her case) is obviously disturbed. She was all big and bad until someone told her to chill (quite calmly). She just wanted attention.

Though I am no fan of concealed carry, I do understand why older people want to carry and are a little trigger happy. If I where a frail older lady and a young little thug (male or female) was in my face making threats like she was, I would have been seriously afraid. I would certainly understand such a person's fear in that circumstance and probably would have shot her.

I don't condone such actions...but maybe I do under such circumstances. I was personally rooting for everyone to jump in and just beat her down. And she had the nerve to threaten pressing charges because a guy (who she accuses of raping her) push ed her head and removed her hat and du-rag.

What has happened to basic human respect (for self and for others) and carrying oneself proudly? I think people/society get progressively out of hand when they don't suffer any consequences for in appropriate actions/behavior. So they keep doing it and do more. There are no social constraints anymore. Had she been back-handed a few times as a younger child for getting sassy with adults or cursing in public, she would have gotten the memo that such behavior is unacceptable.

Seems this type of behavior is acceptable or at least tolerated, cause there were no restraints.

Oh my goodness.....

That is simply rediculous ... I am almost ashamed she had that "A" on her hat! Pray for her, people ...

The first 1:51 was hard to watch... but then: "I'm pressin charges! I'm pressin charges! I'm pressin charges! I'm pressin charges! I'm pressin charges! I'm pressin charges! I'm pressin charges! Where my du-rag at?" ROFL

WOW!!!.. I'm sure she was on something. She seemed to be high on something.

Even though you know she is on something, she still make me want to just kick her ass all up and down the train until I am too tired. Then I would get a second wind and continue to whip her ass until I got sleepy!!!

My family cherish all of our elders. I just don't understand how we as a people have gotten so far away from respecting ourselves and one another.

Big up to the voice of reason. Wish we could have seen who he was.

In the young lady's defense, we don't know what the old lady said to her. Perhaps she was the one who initially disrespected someone and started it all.

On the other hand, it's amazing that it took so long for someone to even step up and say something about the situation. That train had plenty of people on there that could have came to the defense of the old lady, but no one did...perhaps because she was the instigator.

something i think most black folk don't understand, is that matriarchs traditionally have the right to say what they want to say because they have lived...and i can understand the girl must have been embarrassed but...that is just something you don't do to an elder, no matter what was said. i remember my grandmother said something to my cousin a few years back and my cousin tried to slap her. now I do not like everything my granny says, but when i saw her draw back at my granny i did my best to choke the life out of her.

you might not like what she has to say , but she has the right to say it and you have the right to be offended but harassment just ain't necessary.

Exactly. It doesn't matter what the old lady said. Old people and babies get passes, no matter how outragous.

I'm just shocked it took so long for anyone to do anything. I would have immediately gone to the woman's defense. That could be my grandmother!! And that crazy crackhead all up in her face like that, at any moment she could have hit her and caused permanent damage to someone that old.

All those folks on the train just SAT THERE?! Finally someone spoke, and kudos to him, but what took so long?

This just boils my blood for so many reasons.
